The Schoodic Institute at Acadia National Park is the venue for our 2022 workshop, which will take place in person from July 24-30. The Schoodic Institute is located 10 minutes southeast of Winter Harbor, Maine. To register for the workshop and for more specific information about it, click here (this link will open a separate window).
The Schoodic Institute has housing, however, if you are planning to make your own lodging plans, look in the towns of Winter Harbor, Bunker’s Harbor, Prospect Harbor, and Gouldsboro. Ellsworth is roughly a 45 minute drive from Schoodic. Although Mount Desert Island, the home of the main section of Acadia National Park, seems close at first glance, (just across the harbor!) it is actually over an hour away on country roads, and living there would be a long commute.
Maine residents Coleen O’Connell and Nate Staples are our workshop organizers. Bee Shay is the education coordinator and will be sending out the call to all of us to put in proposals for teaching classes.
If you’re not an NPS member, we still welcome you at our workshops! See our "Become a Member" page for more information on membership or contact a board member if you would like to teach at or attend our Schoodic workshop in 2022.
